Cyclommatus elaphus
| "Kumbang tanduk rusa" or deer stag beetles is the common name for cyclommatus elaphus. Their long and beautiful horn are closed to deer horn in shape, and with color variation of metallic green, red and brown makes them as one of the most admirable stag beetles in the world. This species live in cold area with temperature 17-23 degree celcius and altitude at least 1500m in dense rainforest. They spreading is mostly in southern to middle part of Sumatra island. Their size is varied from 4 cm to 10 cm. |
